Feature Prioritization
Feature prioritization is the practice of deciding what to build first by weighing value against effort and risk — using frameworks like RICE, MoSCoW, or value-vs-effort to make the trade-offs explicit.
Prioritization is really about saying no: with limited capacity, the goal is to maximize outcome per unit of effort. Frameworks help, but they inform judgment — they do not replace it.
The common failure is prioritizing a long undifferentiated list. Good prioritization ties each item back to a goal, so "high priority" means "high leverage on what matters," not "loudest requester."
Using RICE, a small feature with huge reach and low effort outranks a flashy feature that serves few users at high cost.
